After spending more than 42,000 hours observing dogs, California-based artist Eric Gregory decided oil painting was the ideal medium for translating his love of dogs into fine art. In this choice, he follows a tradition of quality animal painting inspired by Sir Edwin Landseer (1802-1873), Franz Marc (1880-1916), and Jamie Wyeth (1946- ), each a great interpreter of the beauty in animal forms.
